Community Christian Legal Aid (CCLA) provides free civil legal assistance for eligible individuals and families in our community. Because we are a nonprofit with limited resources, we use eligibility guidelines to ensure help is provided where it is needed most.
You may qualify for assistance if you meet all of the following:

We accept cases on a case-by-case basis, based on capacity, the nature of the legal issue, and overall financial circumstances.
To qualify for free legal assistance, household income must generally be at or below 400% of the Federal Poverty Level.
In addition to income, assets are also considered when determining eligibility. Applicants with significant assets—such as substantial home equity, large retirement accounts, or other readily available financial resources—may not qualify for free legal services.
Meeting the income guidelines does not guarantee case acceptance.
