Serving with compassion, integrity, and purpose

Community Christian Legal Aid is made possible by a dedicated team of staff, board members, and volunteer attorneys who believe access to justice should not depend on income. Together, we serve our neighbors with professionalism, humility, and respect.

Staff Leadership

Deborah Hubbs
Founder, Director and President

Deborah Hubbs

Deborah founded CCLA in 2018 after serving corporate clients for over a decade as in-house counsel of various oil and gas companies.

After realizing the lack of legal services for the disadvantaged, Deborah began exploring the possibility of bringing privately funded legal services to the Greater Houston area. Going through her own parents’ divorce with a mom who worked, but could not afford good legal representation, made Deborah realize that this was an underrepresented area of need in legal aid. Thus, Deborah focuses most of her legal work for CCLA in family law. She also still maintains a private law practice in business law.

Deborah is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Law and is admitted to practice in the State of Texas and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also serves on the board of Hope Media Group and is active in her church.

Kim Cline
Guardianship & Probate Attorney

Kim Cline

Kim Cline has been CCLA’s guardianship and probate attorney for five years; and also serves as a resource for clients seeking expungement. Kim was an assistant district attorney for Harris County for 13 years where she handled over 500 criminal appeals and won briefer of the year. Kim has also served pro bono for numerous legal aid organizations and won volunteer of the year for both CCLA and Lone Star Legal Aid in the same year.

Kim previously served on the Board of CCLA as well as Montgomery County Bar Association as their pro bono coordinator. She is a member of the Texas Bar. Kim received her J.D. from the University of Michigan School of Law. She also holds a B.A. in Socio-Economics from Michigan State University and a Masters in Theological Studies from Liberty University.

Director of Legal Operations & Attorney

Audrey Juranek

Audrey Juranek joins CCLA as the Director of Legal Operations where she will be both an attorney taking legal representation and overseeing  the work of our pro bono attorneys and legal clinics.

Audrey holds a B.A. from the University of Chicago and earned her law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law where she received the Dean’s Pro Bono Achievement Award.  She has been a dedicated volunteer for Houston Volunteer Lawyers, assisting in guardianship and kinship matters and has held a certificate in Guardian Ad Litem for over 10 years.

Outside of her legal work, Audrey enjoys spending time with her family, trying her hand at golf and growing roses, and cheering on the Astros.

Paralegal

Lynn Flanagan

Lynn Flanagan is originally from Beaumont, Texas where she started her career as a paralegal. She has been a paralegal for more than 25 years, practicing mostly family law.

Lynn was married to her husband Mark for 34 years when he passed away in 2020. They have one son, Brian, who still lives nearby. Lynn is active in her Church and volunteers in their Outreach Program.
